When you are at an airport with jetways you have to turn on battery and tune ground station to ask for ground services. You hace in the ATC menu several options to request, one of those options is connect a jetway.

Would recommend getting pushback helper or toolbar pushback addons. You can do all the ground services without having to deal with ATC which is totally unrealistic.

Should those addons also manage the jetways  ?

Yes, they let you manage pushback, jetways/airstairs, ground power, fuel truck, catering, etc.  Basically everything you would normally have had to use the ATC menu for.
