I have the Steam version of MSFS installed on my F drive but after installing a fresh copy of LNM v2613 it states that there are no flight simulator programs installed and the database is empty.  When I try to manually load the Scenery database it shows the simulator as X-Plane 11 which I can't change and no longer have installed and that it can't find the Resources Folder in the MSFS base path which is not surprising since MSFS doesn't have a Resources Folder.  For now I reinstalled my Steam version of XP-11 and am using it's Database.

LNM should always detect the location of MSFS. No matter where it is installed and no matter if MS or Steam.

The X-Plane options is always shown. You cannot use this to load MSFS.

What are paths for the files and folders below:
UserCfg.opt . Normally "C:\Users\YOURLOGIN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\UserCfg.opt" for Steam.
Last line "InstalledPackagesPath" in the file above. Something like "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator".
Official folder. Something like "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Official"

You can also send me your log file. LNM -> menu -> "Tools" -> "Files and Directories" -> "Open Log file"

The last line from the UserCfg.opt is:

InstalledPackagesPath "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Packages"

MSFS is not listed in my Steam Official Folder:  D:\Steam\Steamapps\Common

LNM does detect and interact with MSFS after I start it.

It's working using the XP11 scenery database but It can't find the MSFS scenery database.

Ok, I just emailed you the log file.

Thanks for the help!

Thank you for the log file.

I see

"F:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/MicrosoftFlightSimulator/Packages/Official/OneStore/fs-base" does not exist

which is strange since there should be no "Packages" folder. Normally.

Did you have remains of another installation (MS subscription, for example)?

Have to see what is going on and will get back to you.

I'm sure that the Steam detection in LNM works. Otherwise I'd get piles of emails a day.

No, only had the Steam installation and it created the Packages folder.

Here is my location for the fs-base:

"F:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/MicrosoftFlightSimulator/Packages/Official/Steam/fs-base"

That Steam folder is also the folder where all my OneStore purchases reside.  The OneStore folder is an empty folder that I created so I could get another program -  AIFP Flight Planner -  to work.  I'm in the middle of a flight but after I close MSFS I'll remove that OneStore Folder and see if LNM can locate that fs-base folder.

"We have met the enemy and he is us!"

I removed that dummy OneStore folder that I had created and LNM detected MSFS and is now loading the MSFS Scenery Library.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction...I had totally forgotting about having created that OneStore folder.
