July 9, 20214 yr I hadn't played FSX in a few months and decided to hop on today. Upon double clicking the app, I got the splash screen, but after around 3-5 seconds it closes and never actually puts me in game. During the 3-5 seconds, the cursor shows a blue spinning circle. I don't get any errors, and the game doesn't even appear in task manager. I've tried deleting logbook, fsx.cfg, and scenery.cfg. Reinstalled twice. I've gone through the AVSIM CTD Guide, and nothing worked there. All drivers are updated and registry is repaired. I believe I did install some freeware aircraft before, but it worked fine before with them, and I have now removed them with no change apparent.
