July 9, 20214 yr Hi all i have just done a fresh install of P2A i had some previous modified taxiways i have reloaded the modifications for EGCC and EGCN from a save file Taximnt made (EGCN_Taxiways.txl) and both show correct but under import scenery user modified airports is black i have restarted pa2 and still the same is this correct?
July 9, 20214 yr Commercial Member Yes, if you wiped out the old data with a full install, then all your modifications are gone. If you need to do a full install for some reason and you have modified airports, you need to backup/save a copy of the P2ABaseData.mdf file and then after the full install, replace that file in the Data folder with your backup and delete the P2ABaseData_log.ldf file in the Data folder. July 9, 20214 yr Author Sorry Dave i had backed up the changes with save airport taxiways and they reinstalled fine with load airport taxiways (all the edits are showing fine) but they dont show under user edited was wondering if that's a bug second question there are some smaller airfields that are missing in the default taxiways is there are way to inport just the missing ones from make runways with out doing one at a time or over righting the entire data base? July 9, 20214 yr Commercial Member No, loading saved taxiways does not trigger the addition to Edited status. That only happens if you make a change manually and save it to the database. No, missing airports, are only discovered and added if you do the Import All from the MakeRunways files. Even then, they only have taxiway and runway data, so they are not a "full function" airport. But they will show up on a map. Dave Edited July 9, 20214 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
July 12, 20214 yr Author If I am taking of from a fully controlled airport and landing at an uncontrolled one can p2a still handle that I think in the real world at some point you would leave atc and change to unicom I know p2a dose not do the unicom bit but will it do the rest? Would it also be possible to add a feature where instead of entering your destination airport you could put something like way point unicom where atc would tell you to change the frequency to the unicom one I know unicom would still not work but would add a little more realism Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions Edited July 12, 20214 yr by Lestat11 Extra question
July 12, 20214 yr Commercial Member Yes, it can handle this scenario. Assuming you are IFR, when you get on final for the approach, ATC will tell you that you can switch to CTAF so you can announce your intentions to others in the traffic pattern. No, you must have a destination airport in your flight plan, just like in the real world. Dave
