I tried so many things for the screen tearing including VSynch and/or triple buffering being enabled through either P3D or Nvidea control panel. Surprising. The difference on my system was huge. You can certainly increase many scenery settings with your kit. Terrain and Texture resolution can be set to max. You mentioned you are limiting fps to 30 but haven’t mentioned your display type and model. Does it support 30Hz natively? Ray (Cheshire, England). I think the AM will make a good difference. It's just that I took those photos on the first circuit after getting rid of the screen tearing. I'm on my second flight with it, a proper long Vatsim flight just now, which is pretty smooth ATM. I will gradually start increasing settings tomorrow I think. I believe my monitor is 60Hz by default. I had changed settings a few months ago to 30Hz in Nvidea control panel after coming across a post from yourself I think. I am trying it back at 60Hz with the new GPU. My monitor is an LG 43UN700 42.5" IPS 4K Ultra HD Monitor Calum Watt
July 18, 20214 yr Moderator @WestEnd, having read the user manual your monitor will support 30Hz natively when an HDMI cable is used. That is far preferable to tweaking with NCP. Page 26 gives confirmation. https://gscs-b2c.lge.com/downloadFile?fileId=nXaETC8NikzsHDYIcVrTw I suggest you check the settings as it may require certain ones for optimum performance. Make sure you install the driver for your monitor from here to ensure those resolutions and refresh rates are available. https://www.lg.com/uk/support/product/lg-43UN700-B Unless you can sustain 60fps at the busiest airports 30 is the better option. Thanks Ray, It's a display port connector that I'm currently using, and I was using that for a few months with 30Hz. Do you think I should change back to 30Hz with the display port cable? Calum Watt

July 18, 20214 yr Author Ok. Thanks. I'll maybe leave it at 60Hz for now then, and use a HDMI cable if I want to try changing to 30Hz. Calum Watt

Nothing is simple but as far as I can see drivers on that site will not download in either Google chrome or Edge. Unless my internet provider is blocking them for some reason. Calum Watt

Actually, all I could find on the page was software downloads for controlling things like splitting the screen into sections, and they woudn't download. I read a bit and it stated if there were no drivers to download for your product, which there weren't as far as I could see, that means the correct driver has already been sent directly to Windows. Yes, they seem to be competitively priced. If I do end up buying a new processor, the one I think is best before going to silly money is £900 at Scan, and £1100 at overclockers. Maybe they are high volume and low margin, but they are physically UK based which I checked before buying. Calum Watt

With both a Windows/ Firefox laptop and Safari on an iPad it prompts me to save the zip containing the driver. As long as your monitor is described correctly in Device Manager - Monitors you should be fine. Switching to an HDMI cable and the 30Hz option becoming available will confirm all is well. I downloaded the manual and read the section about cables. It doesn't seem to say anything about displayport in terms of working with 60hz but not 30hz. At least not that I can see. I changed back to 30Hz in Windows display settings. I am sure 30Hz is working with the current cable as Windows denotes that it is, the screen went blank for a second, the colours changed a bit, and P3D seemed smoother afterwards. Calum Watt
