California Adventure #3 Piaggios

California Adventure #3  Piaggios

Today we fly down the central eastern side of the Sierras. This flight will be flying Piaggio's with the canopy open. We will start the flight in the Fire ravaged area near Reno. WE proceed down to Reno/Stead airport were we will land. At this point we will all be required to fly 3 circuits in a left pattern around the yellow pylons and then meetup over the lake east of the field to continue our adventure. We will fly over downtown Reno and Carson city on our way down the east side. WE will then continue to explore the area and even visit the Old western Town of Bodi , We will then fly over Mono Lake on our way to Mammoth MT where we will land, get fueled up and get our planes ready for the mountain part of this adventure. We will fly up to 14,000 ft and fly over the eastern tips of the Sierras. When we get to MT Whitney we  will descend down to the charming town of Lone pine where we will meet up at the local airstrip and ck out the sights and talk about our experience.

Just a terrific plan, Josh. We shall truly enjoy your work on this one.

For those unfamiliar with the Reno Race, you might like a quick link to the Reno Race Course Map. (On this map, the circuit that Josh mentioned is the T-6 course, outlined in Red. Length of 4.96 miles. Note that the T-6 Course Turn 1 is nearly at the end of Rwy 08, somewhat beyond the first turn for the higher-speed Unlimited Circuit.)

Hope this helps.

(Also, if you are planning for the Wednesday departure you should consider that the mandatory MFS update is about 40GB. Took 2.5 hours here, but your download speed may be very different.)

I believe we are doing the yellow course.

Hope I can make it!  MSFS locks up on the menus after update.
