Howdy, for me pre SU5 when using my hat switch to cycle thru the instrument views I always found their movements smooth and easy on the eye with a “zoom to view” that gently brought you to the view you desired. 

Now after SU5 when cycling the instrument views from view to view they remain smooth and easy on the eye, excluding the first view. That first view which is usually the HSI screen, instead of smoothly sliding/zooming into place it abruptly “jumps” with an accompanying “bounce” of the screen before it settles into view. Only the first cycle. All the others remain fine. 

Anyone else seeing this, and if so did you come up with a workaround or fix?

Yes, happens to me too. I assume it is one of the myriad of new interface/control bugs introduced by SU5, hopefully they all get fixed quick!
