July 29, 20214 yr I guess I picked a bad time to uninstall FSX to go solely with MSFS 2020. Since SU5, Ctrl + E isn't working to fire up my TBM, I get a weird scroll bar on the right side of my screen in the cockpit, and had a ton of weird artifacts where buildings belong at KBOS. I'm sure there's more But I haven't gotten any further to discover. To say the least, I'm very unhappy with my sim right now. 😒

July 29, 20214 yr I haven't flown the TBM yet, but did jump in it a few minutes ago and Ctrl + E did start from cold and dark. It's amazing what different experiences we are all having with this new update.

As for FSX... jeez. The definition of sim is different for different people, sometimes I want to fly a 747 but not go thru the start process. Depends on my mood. But Ctrl + E is a feature, and should work. If it doesn't, it's a legit complaint.

As for FSX... jeez. I use Ctrl + E to save REAL time not "sim" time. If starting from cold and dark takes me as much time as I have to do the entire flight I have planned, it's a turn off for me. I do enjoy taxiing and seeing the sights around the airport rather than spawning on the active.
July 29, 20214 yr Author I'm currently doing the multi-hour reinstall to see if that helps. I'm not holding my breath though.
