Below Sea Level Altimeter Readings are Wrong

Featured Replies

If I go to LLMZ which is about 1243 ft below sea level, the altimeter reading in all the planes I have tried ( C172, KA350i, CJ4, DA62, Baron G58, Grumman G-44A) is off by approximately a 1000ft. So it seems that something in the sim is broken, perhaps the barometric pressure for below sea level situations.  It worked correctly before SU5.

Would appreciate if someone could confirm what I'm seeing.

Thx,

Al

I checked it and strangly when i hit fly the altitude started at -1000 and slowly rolled to to -300 without moving the airplane (xcub)

Yes, saw that also -- very strange indeed.  🤔  I assume the sim is slowly changing the barometric pressure when that happens.

Thanks for checking,

Al
