August 9, 20214 yr Author OK got it figured out and working great. In the first place the manual says the above two settings don't apply to v5.2. But just in case, I set both ON. In FSUIPC6 I start REX SF first then ASP3D. I went through all the SF settings to disable all the Wx engine related settings and those that require the SF Wx engine. My cloud and wx depiction with P3D EA on and vol clouds off is really great! Now one setting it says applies to 5,1 and up but the other says 5,1... Anyway "Prevent ASP3D EA Volumetric Cloud Control in P3Dv5" require P3D vol clouds ON so doesn't apply to my situation. Having them both checked works fine for me.
