Where to find the AFC_BRIDGE file

Featured Replies

Just after SU5 released, I bought a new SSD exclusively for MSFS 2020. I did a complete reinstall and after it finished and I went into PROFILE, it showed the bridge was not installed, I tried to install it, but it would not install. I tried downloading from Aerosoft and Honeycomb, but it will not download from there as well. Any help appreciated.

Never mind. I finally found the correct download link at Aerosoft.

It shows uninstalled in content manager for me also, but it works, i tried to reinstall it, but it still shows uninstalled, must be a bug.

Btw, the file from HoneyComb can't be downloaded with Chrome, but it works with Edge.

Hi Ixoye,

Can you take a screenshot of the file exe.xml located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator.xxxxxx\LocalCache
It might not have installed correctly and the file will tell us if that is the case.

if you do not have any other addons installed you can just delete the exe.xml file and after that navigate to  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator.xxxxxx\LocalCache\Packages\Community and delete the afc_bridge,
then you can reinstall the drivers from the downloads folder by right-clicking the AS_HONEYCOMB_MSFS_V2100 and selecting ‘Run As Administrator’

Hopefully that will resolve the issue.

Just tried Firefox and it downloaded properly. I was sure I used Chrome the last time I down loaded it, but not positive. Thanks for the info!

Hi all

Mine also says uninstalled in content manager however I am fairly sure it is working.  How can we check?

Best wishes
