PACSIM RCTP no markings/textures

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I´ve been using PACSIM RCTP in P3D v4.5 for a while without any issues.

However, all of a sudden, there are no RWY/TWY Markings displayed anymore!

No other add-on airport is affected, just PACSIM RCTP.
Even PACSIM´s RPLL & RKSI are just fine.

I´m having ENVTEX installed, but I didn´t install the Airport Textures of ENVTEX.
Furthermore, I´ve got ORBX FTX Global installed.

I´ve tried to uninstall/reinstall several times without any luck...
Also tried to move RCTP in the scenery library to the top without joy...

Would be very happy for some assistance.

Best regards,

Toto

That sounds to me like you installed other addons over time and when you visit Taoyuan again it is broken.

Easiest to fix it, would be uninstall, reinstall at first. Sometimes changing layering is sufficient, if you know how to do this.

Are you still on 4.5? If you upgraded to 5.2, there could be an altitude problem. I have this airport and will have a look at it in a few hours at home. Maybe I adapted it to 5.2. I only saw, PACSIM does not sell it for v5 yet.

I have it working in 5.2.  Just had to do a little cleanup using ADE.

Hello.

Just did an approach to RCTP:

it seems to be Altitude related: all markings are visible on approach and then gradually disappear when passing through about 300ft above ground.

Unistalled/reinstalled several times, didnt help at all.

Best regards,

Toto

I checked at my sim 5.2 it works flawless. I had it before in v4.5. I did not alter the afcad. So there´s no mod needed.

Check if you have another RCTP scenery or maybe an remaining altitude stub file in scenery\world\scenery directory. It is usually named with alt and the ICAO code RCTP. Also if you reinstall make sure to delete after uninstall all remaining files in the Taiwan Taoyuan Intl P3Dv4\data\Scenery directory. The uninstaller may leave out files not from Pacsim, if any.

Maybe it is a shader issue. Try to delete all shaders in "C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Shaders\*.*?" and start the sim again. Is the scenery on top in the listing? That could be an issue too.

There is an article on the FS Developer website that explains how to do the conversion.
