Superspud's Carrier group and an F15E

Featured Replies

Was looking at the new Tomcat, like the look of it but holding off for now (trying to develop some self restraint), and also saw the payware carrier so thought I'd try out Superspud's freeware one first. ( https://flightsim.to/file/4930/aircraft-carrier-uss-msfs-uk-mooring ) Seems more than adequate to me, in fact very impressive, like all his stuff. Plenty of explanations about locations etc, all the settings seem to have fake ICAO codes to make them easy to select and all show up on the world map. Definitely recomended.

This sort of aircraft is not my favourite to fly, much happier in the Grravel and similar, so I'm not even going to attempt a landing. If you select this particluar group (just off Larnaca, Cyprus) as a taking off strip it seems to put you on the deck of the QE, ready to go. Worked for me, anyway - just whacked the throttle open and off I went. A few shots then, flying around in replay mode and trying out different weather settings.

This is the QE. Took off and once I'd gotten the F15 vaguely under control flew round and came back in for a fly-past over the group.

I eventually flew off and landed at Larnaca. Well, actually in a field off to the north a bit. Shoulda lost a bit more speed on the way in I guess <grin>. But hey, it's only pixels.
