CRJ and Squawk code recognition

Featured Replies

Picked up the CRJ and have made fair progress with it thus far.  However, I tune the squawk code provided by MSFS ATC into the FMC and after take off ATC states that they are not receiving my squawk code and terminates my IFR flight plan.

What would I be doing wrong here?

Are you turning the transponder on before takeoff? It is a three-position (center off) switch located on the center console near the standby radio tuning unit. Rotate one notch left to “1”
