  1. In my case, at one of the airports that I had landed at, KPIT to be exact, I noticed there was a medical flight in one of the adjacent aprons that was doing a taxi. When I checked flight aware, there was indeed a medical flight at the same time and place getting ready for takeoff. So to echo your thoughts, I agree the integration with flight radar is well done. Now as for the question from @Noel like many of the others I simply disregard the instructions to descend and use my top of descent as my cue to descend. I typically disregard any of the vectoring as well and fix those up in my FMC much like I would a discontinuity and simply go direct to whatever fix points. I need for my arrival.
  2. I am welcoming additional competition in this area of the Sim, surely nobody can disagree with that. With that said, I am leary of subscription models unless they add commensurate value to my flight simming, like a Navigraph. The concept though is promising, especially if ACE can genuinely track aircraft within their routes and manage sequencing and separation dynamically. Since it’s still in beta, though, I’d be interested to see how it performs with dense traffic, missed approaches, go-arounds, and aircraft that do not follow instructions. Looking forward to seeing real-world testing before drawing firm conclusions. I won’t know until I see the product on actual release, but wish the developer success on this project.
  3. I’m sure it was the Username thing, get well really soon, Jack!
  4. I wanted to also thank you for developing this wonderful tool. I have been reading about it for a little while now, but decided to implement it for my airline flying. I downloaded it today installed it and it was extremely easy to use. And it did it job. I had absolutely zero issues on the ground during takeoff in flight or most importantly on descent and approach. There were no stutters.
  5. I am only on my third flight, but you certainly appreciate all of the small details. I started mine as a new airplane, and am doing everything possible to fly it by the check lists, and great prudence as well. My last landing at KBMI was so smooth, that I simply can’t wait to go back. It really makes me want to learn more about the plane, which I am doing now. It will be difficult going back to any of my other planes. This was a long time in the making, but my utmost appreciation and respect for what the A2A team did here, as they exceeded any expectation I had for this project.
  6. It would be interesting to hear of any interesting maintenance events that occur during the journey! I just took my first flight and it clearly exceeded my expectations.
  7. New video from Dreams of Wings to go with the launch:
  8. Does FS ATC Chatter override conversations you are having with ATC, or does it pipe down when the Sim is communicating with you?
  9. Same…I flew from KORD to KSTL and landed at 12:20 ET yesterday with very accurate weather, Barometric pressure, winds aloft, etc, etc. I was on The US East server. I wonder what would still be going on for others.
  10. They got the Venema Enima, purged from the forum.
  11. I read something, but it didn't get very specific.
  12. Just curious if anything has been published, or even rumored () for the remainder of North America Land class from ORBX. I'm not impatient mind you, just curious.
  13. Ok, I will explain. Rex Direct (rd) is programmed to call Rex Essentials. (re) I go into rd and select weather, select the airport I will start, and generate/submit. rd calls both re and opens FSX. I begin my desired free flight from the airport I chose in rd and wait for weather to be injected but it never happens. Only if you perform the same selection of airport while in re does any weather injection occur in FSX. I opened a ticket at REX and they said they couldn't reproduce the problem I described. So how is it supposed to work? I don't see any point in calling the weather engine from rd if it isn't one seamless pass through, and the comments from REX do not make me think otherwise.
  14. Very real indeed. Steve has done an incredible service to our community with this product. I was amazed at the visual improvement. Even saw improvement in frame rates with my high end rig which I didn't think would be possible.
  15. I do not have a 4k Monitor yet. You could actually go up to 5K with the Titan X. I'm running it with a 2560 x 1440 and it is sweet!
  16. I bought a Titan X. It takes anything you can throw at it.
  17. Anyone got tickets for day one?
  18. I am using REX Direct and like it, but sadly not ASN. I am using REX Essential for weather. Go figure, it doesn't play well with Rex direct.
  19. I only run in full screen mode. Is there some advantage over running in windowed mode?
  20. Make it nice and dirty air-wise.
