SkyMate Control: A high-intelligence ATC Coming SOON!

Featured Replies

I just saw this. Another ATC addon in the mix for MSFS2020 and 2024 and later X-Plane......and no subscription! Pay once. Fly forever.

You can join a waitlist, I assume for a test of the addon. I read it more closely....The Waitlist is just to see the video of it in action.....🤪

Too many options for my liking. Just give us a proper ATC environment in the default simulator that works in offline mode with our AI model and flightplan packages of choice.

This is so obviously entirely vibe coded that I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

Ah, these are the guys that came out with a neat little GA-oeriented app - link -> skymate.tech/skymate

I was wondering why they went quiet over the last few weeks.

Hmm, never heard of these guys. Just off bat, but on the same subject, I haven't heard much about VoxATC either recently, which are also supposed to be working on an ATC program.

These kind of addons has been florishing, specially with the advent of LLM technologies.

I still look fwd to a complex / realistic / didactic ATC robot to be made available... Let's hope for teh best :-)

This one looks promising, but again, it is still just "an idea"...

Does it improve the animations of the AI planes when landing, departing and taxiing? Does it prevent daft situations where planes are using opposite ends of a runway at the same time? Does it work properly in offline mode? That is what I would want to know.

In the mean time BATC gets better and better! I love the new voices which finally got me out of paying for premium, and traffic animation in large part is improved wherein I see only occasionally herky jerky animation.

I'm waiting for a new discussion here on avsim, that will list all ATC programs on the market and counting, after the announcement of Microsoft 2 days ago : "we are going only to fix the MSFS ATC and not rewrite it". The last MSFS Dev Q/A is goldmine for developers and entrepreneurs drafting business plans.

Sorted by alphabetical order (and not by status released, beta, announcement...) and mixing different main focus:

This has been around for a couple of years. Lots of promises and a highly excited dev vids, then it goes quiet for 6-9 months. I'm not holding my breath for this. As we've seen with another dev who promises the world in terms of a forthcoming "this changes everything!" ATC app, more often than not, what is promised doesn't come to fruition. I like the guys behind BATC but in real terms the progress is slow. I have issues with the person/people behind SI but you have to give it to them that they are 2 years along a development road that has been huge, and I can't see any new gamechanging ATC coming from nowhere and offering more than SI offers for VFR/IFR, and BATC offers for IFR.
