February 24, 200719 yr How do you get the Jetways in FSX to work on payware such as the wilco pub Airbus Series, or other downloaded aircraft. Currently they will only work for the default aircraft on my system.
February 24, 200719 yr An aircraft developer would have better info than me, but I think the jetways rely on invisible reference points that are built into the model to tell them where to line up when extending. The refpoints used are new to FSX, so until developers have a chance to create new FSX-native models, you'll have this problem. I could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

There are new parameter fields added to the "Exits" section that provide the x,y,z coordinates for the "doors:"number_of_exits = 3exit.0 = 0.4, 36.6, -5.0, 3.0, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.1 = 0.4, -38.5, 4.5, -3.0, 1 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)You simply have to add the x,y,z coordinates for the addone's "doors." Obviously, a bit of "guesswork" and a LOT of trial-and-error is required for absolute success...Oh yes, you also need to indicate what type exit it is, so the sim will know whether to send the jetway "Main" or the baggage loader "Cargo" to the exit! ;) Fr.
