Maddog X CG Balance

Featured Replies

Hello dear simmers,

Wanted to ask you if someone had issues with CG and Balance after a couple of touch and go's with the Maddog X, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but let's say I takeoff with around 10800 lbs of fuel total, CG @15% and after 10 minutes I land with about 8000 lbs of fuel remaining, check it with the load manager and adjust the new CG to around 14% and then move the elevator trim to match the green pointer I can't rotate even when pulling the yoke all the way out after passing rotation speed (also recalculated) and if i get to takeoff and then try to land I max out my trim.

Has anybody run into this too? What should I need to do after touching down and try to takeoff again with almost the same TOW as before? Is this a normal behavior? It just feels very nose heavy after touching down for the first time. Also can't find some information about it in the manuals or operating procedures.

Do you have the same problem if you just did a go-around from say 50 feet? Also, I can't find anything in the MD-88 (real world manuals) about having to reset the CG -- in the context of a go-around, which is probably close enough.  I would just leave the load manager alone and try the circuits without making any adjustments.
