fsx:se crashes after splash screen without any errors

Featured Replies

hello, so today i installed FSX SE on a completely new device for the first time, when i tried to launch i first encountered an error that said

"Failed to start process for Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition:

"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." (0x36B1)

but i was able to fix it by installing the c+++ 2005 thing, but it didnt stop at that, the game just loads up the splash screen and stays on it for like 5 seconds and crashes with 0 errors, i've browsed the internet and tried everything, deleting the automationcore.dll, changing compatibility mode, renaming the fsx cfg, reinstalling FSX, reinstalling it AGAIN to a new drive, and verifying game files via steam, ive noticed something called the logbook fix, but my sim is brand new so i didnt find any FSX folders in the document Folder, and i searched windows for logbook it doesnt exist anywhere, im using windows 10 btw, the issue is confusing me because i cant get it to work and ive tried everything, any help would be really appreciated

this is the image of the directory, i cant find any FSX thing there even by searching, so i dont think i even have the logbook thingy as i never launched it before https://imgur.com/a/mDXIGGF

The NvCamera32.dll file I believe would be in your primary Windows folder but may not show in a file list even if you have selected show hidden files.  Do a search for it with Windows File Explorer.  Good luck.
