September 9, 20214 yr I've read the previous threads about the copilot and radio frequencies and did the RTFM. XP11 Zibo on Win10 These are checked: Show In-Line Grammar Help Speech/Copilot Options: Changes Frequencies Not checked: Responds to Radio When I start the sim, ATIS and Ground are already tuned and the copilot does set the tower frequency In flight however, the copilot is not changing the frequencies; really miss that when managing that IFR approach any way to troubleshoot this? Please and thank you. Edited September 9, 20214 yr by sandiego update with sim and OS
September 9, 20214 yr Commercial Member I just tested using the latest release, 2.6.2.3R2 and it seemed to work correctly. The set up ATIS and ClrDel. Once I was done listening to weather, I did the swap to ClrDel. I requested clearance and received it. Used SayIt for the Readback. After Clr gave me the altimeter and told me to switch to Gnd for taxi, the CoPilot switched to ground for me. I requested taxi instructions and got them. Used SayIt for the readback. After reaching the end of the runway, Gnd told us to switch to Twr and copilot did that. I, of course, had to request takeoff. Seems to be working fine. Copilot only changes frequencies when a readback contains a frequency change. Dave
September 9, 20214 yr Author Dave, so the frequency change is triggered with the readback to ATC that I say. I'll try it again. Thank you, thank you. Edited September 9, 20214 yr by sandiego fix grammar
September 9, 20214 yr Commercial Member Yes. For example: "Altimeter two niner niner two, Ground on one two four point five <CallSign>" Dave Edited September 9, 20214 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
September 9, 20214 yr Author Dave, correct, as I stated earlier, it is working on the ground, just not in flight or enroute or on the approach.
September 9, 20214 yr Commercial Member Please send the P2A log file for the flight to [email protected] and I'll have a look. P2A Log files are located in: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs where <UserName> is your PC user name. Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab. Dave
September 9, 20214 yr Author Dave, just about ready to fly SAN to LAS, will report status. Hope you'll make the Sim Expo this month. 🙂
September 10, 20214 yr Commercial Member To get the copilot to change frequencies, you need to use the phrase "<CtlrType> on xxx.x" for the readback. So, for example, "Center on one two one point one". Just saying the frequency will not trigger the copilot to make the change. Dave
September 11, 20214 yr Author Courtesy update, I completed a flight from LAS to SLC with copilot responds to radio and all the frequency changes worked great. Thanks again, Dave
