Is it possible to get the F.O in MCE to respond/repeat to the Communication within P2ATC for MSFS2020?

Of course you can. Not just Pilot2Atc. VoxAtc, Vatsim or any other system.

In MCE user interface, go to <ATC> tab, then click the '+' arrow at the bottom as many times as necessary to get to "Other ATC". Click <Activate> and restart MCE.

Once you restart, MCE will asssume you're using some other ATC system and will suspend all speech reco when either DELETE key or assigned PTT joystick button are held down.

Speech reco resumes when you release them.

Please note: MCE works with open mike, you don't need to press any key in order to communicate with the co-pilot

Ok so by doing as described the F.O in MCE will readback the info that P2ATC provides?

Ex: clearance delivery will be read up by P2ATC but instead of P2ATC doing the readback this will be done by the MCE F.O??

No, MCE will only handle readback with Native Atc, PF3 ATC or Radar Contact ATC.

With Pilot2Atc, MCE will just ensure Pilot2Atc related transmission doesn't get to MCE (by using PTT).

Having said that, if you happen to have a high quality TTS voice in both 64 Bit and 32 Bit variants, you could ignore the MCE human recorded voice packs, assign same TTS voice in both Pilot2Atc and MCE for Fo and you'll have the illusion Fo is handling everything. No intruder. See this video

I just purchased MCE and have used Pilot2ATC for a long time with P3D. I like the idea of matching the Copilot voices. I have several purchased voices added to Windows that I use for Pilot2ATC I’ll need to figure out how to get them into MCE. I was wondering when I use a PTT button on my stick for P2ATC I see I can setup MCE so it won’t listen when it’s pushed my question is will MCE also not be listening when the P2ATC copilot responses even though the button has been released ? I’m concerned about the response triggering a MCE request.

Thanks in advance

Welcome aboard Joe

You just need to also install the 32 bit variants of the commercoal TTS voices you purchased. Most of them have dual installers.

After that, in MCE UI, go to <Command> tab and click <Change> next to assigned co-pilot voice and you'll get to the voice selection screen.

Ignore the human recorded voice packs we provide as default and click "TTS voices" at the top.

MCE will detect and list any such voices. Select one and click OK. From then on your FO will be using that voice to match the same in Pilot2Atc.

In ATC tab of teh MCE UI, at the bottom, click '+' arrow as many times as necessary to swiutch ATC systems until you get to "Other ATC" which applies to all o them (Vatsim, VoxAtc, etc..) Click <Activate> and restart MCE.

From then on, holding joystick button or DEL key down will cause MCE to suspend all speech commands until you release the button.

MCE has no way of knowing when P2Atc is transmitting, therefore, you could get the odd situation where the same voice is both talking to ATC and replying to you as FO for something you asked him to do.

Thanks I understand now and it works well as you described my TTS voices match now and it’s a great improvement in realism.
