I ask because sometimes coughing or saying something with my mic open seems to trigger random reactions in P3D like reloading a saved situation or opening the ATC window (even though it is disabled in the menu) or pausing P3D! But it gave me the idea to dig deeper in this direction. So, I noticed in the Windows Setting Privacy Microphone under "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone" option, the presence of several programs including Prepar3D.exe. And of course when P3D is running, there is an indication that the microphone is used with it. I think the problem comes from there. Unfortunately, it is impossible to have an individual access to each of the present programs, either they are all enabled or all disabled (dixit Microsoft)! Result as I also use MCE or/and VoxAtc, Fs2Crew and so...I can't disable this option. Too bad, although this problem does not happen every time, fortunately. Nevertheless, I'm not unhappy to have, I think, found the origin of the problem. Richard. September 17, 20214 yr And the short version for others reading this: for P3D native voice control to be active you must manually enable this capability inside the Prepar3D.cfg by setting EnableVoiceControl=1 under the [STARTUP] category.
