September 16, 20214 yr I've successfully connected to the sim (MSFS) I've got details appearing correctly, frequencies, map, weather etc However when I hold down PTT nothing happens (it works in the grammar helper), when I use the speach assistant and SayIt I don't get anything back. I also don't hear anything on ATIS. Testing voices works, the grammer helper seems to work fine. What am I missing?
September 16, 20214 yr Commercial Member Sounds like you are either not fully connected or your PTT button is not set up correctly. When you press your PTT button, the on-screen PTT button should turn Green around the edges. If not, you PTT button is not working. When Pilot2ATC connects, there will be 3 lines in the Speech Text Window at the bottom right and the Connect button will turn green. The last line in the Speech Text Window will be "Grammars Loaded". Also, the Yellow aircraft representing your aircraft will be visible on the map. If not, you are not completely connected. Check the following: 1. Be sure you are running the latest version of FSUIPC7 for MSFS. 2. Be sure the SIM is fully up and running and not paused. The cockpit must be showing, after you press Ready to fly. 3. Be sure you are connected to the internet. It must be a reliable connection. 4. English-US Language installed and set as Primary Language, English Speech Recognition installed also. 5. Working Microphone installed and set as Default Sound Input device in Windows 6. Valid Call Sign – Try using the default call sign of Mfg: Beech; Tail Number: N431VB. Press the Save button. 7. Try running the program in Administrator mode by right clicking on the Pilot2ATC.exe file and selecting “Run as Administrator” 8. If connected but the radios aren’t working, check the Battery and Avionics switches on or the “Ignore battery” and “Ignore Avionics” options are checked in P2A Config 9. If it seems to partially connect but the Connect button does not turn Green, set the Weather option to a different source such as NOAA Real Time Weather and try again. If still won't fully connect, try deleting the AppConfig.xml file. You will lose your Config settings, but some users have reported that this fixed their connection issue. The file is located at: c:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\AppConfig\Settings.xml where <UserName> is your PC user name. Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab. Dave
September 16, 20214 yr Author I thought I had all these in place but I ran through your check list and it started working, so I'm not sure which one I was actually missing but thank you.
