Airport not being recognized

Featured Replies

Hey guys - I've been busy downloading custom airports for MSFS and then re-loading the LNM databse, which then places yellow circles around all of the custom airports so you know which are default and which are custom, which is an awesome feature. However I just got this scenery for Anchorage Airport, but it's not giving the airport its required yellow circle. And I checked down the airport info for the data source under "Community" and it's not showing up there. I'm wondering what's going on and why this airport isn't getting recognized by LNM?

Thanks!

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Anchorage AK USA - PANC V1.2 » Microsoft Flight Simulator

Meh. Just tried the PANC. Sorry, this is another case I cannot fix and this affects FSX and P3D too.

The add-on adds only scenery structures which LNM does not detect. There are no airport elements like apron or runways in there.

hi! i found another airport that's acting similar: : BIAR - Akureyri » Microsoft Flight Simulator

So if I'm following correctly, in order for LNM to recognize an airport addon, it must alter the runway or apron?
Hmm is there a way to manually tell LNM that this is a custom airport and to add a yellow circle? I'm thinking something like in the right-click menu -> highlight as custom airport.

I use the yellow circle visual quite a lot when planning my routes as I tend to only fly to enhanced airports. So being able to quickly see and visualize this is a great tool.

Sorry, no but you can add a userpoint. Right click on the airport icon and select "Add userpoint ...". This will give you a dialog with all the airport information pre-filled.

Yep. The userpoint (or POI) is a separate feature. It has its own icon. I just prefill the userpoint dialog with all the airport information when clicking on an airport.
You can read more about these things here: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/USERPOINT.html
