September 29, 20214 yr I had an odd situation come up today that I was able to correct, so passing this on to possibly help someone else. A short flight in my local area resulted in a crash to blue screen and auto reboot of computer. Each time I restarted MSFS I was greeted with the ‘Safe Mode’ screen. I checked event viewer and it was stating some sort of error in the Community Folder/AFC_Bridge/bin/AFC_Bridge.exe. Couldn’t figure out what was going on, all was running ok prior to this. Restarts of MSFS would continue to the ‘Safe Mode’ screen. Whether I selected Safe Mode or continue as normal, the end result was the sim would freeze half way through loading the flight. So, I deleted the HC MSFS program and AFC_Bridge. Reinstalled same and went to the Community Folder/AFC_Bridge/bin/AFC_Bridge.exe and right clicked, opening the properties tab. Selected ‘Run as Administrator’ and approved my selection. Rebooted computer, started MSFS (No Safe Mode screen) set up a flight and it loaded. Have flown several flights of varying lengths since and all seems to be working well. I’ve seen different cures for flights not loading and screen freezing. I really didn’t know what else to do. Just thought I would pass this on in case it may help someone out. Happy flying! Question, did you have to rebind all your HC profiles for controls? September 30, 20214 yr Author No, all my settings remained in tact. I have three profiles set under the HCTQ, Single Engine GA, Single Engine Complex and Twin Engine Complex. Others that had freezes loading a flight found other errors in the event log. The one I had was never mentioned. Thought it was odd, but when it was fixed, I thought it would be best to post about it. It’s strange how different systems experience different problems. I’ve been rather fortunate, since MSFS was released, this is the first problem that has come up for me. Since my post I have flown two flights in excess of 1.5 hours, still working fine. I have a Jetline GT2 System, i7 9700K, 32 GB RAM, RTX 2070 Super, liquid cooled system. Been running great!
