FBW A320 Terrain and WX radar?

Featured Replies

I have been a big user of this mod and it is wonderful.  I have also lurked on their Discord and the discussions there are quite deep and can be intimidating.  However, my question is very simple and I was hoping for kind of a simple answer or your thoughts.

Why do suppose the elected to disable the default terrain map and wx radar?  I suspect they want to further develop the wx radar (a long process at best) but the default terrain mapping is great (don't know what would need to be done).  So why not leave the default in until whatever changes they have are ready to be implemented?

Its not disabled on the dev or stable version.

Moreover ,, the terrain depiction is a little too "hi def" as it is. I believe they want a more realistic terrain depiction and for the weather they are seeking to do more with it. Hence the petition they started for Asobo to allow some way to interact with it.

Ah... I did not know that.  I run the experimental version, looks like I am going to switch into the dev version, thanks.
