October 23, 20214 yr I'm not even sure how to ask this question because I have limited knowledge of 'colorspace'. This question stems from the fact that, on my system and many other people's systems, clouds now have odd pinks and bluegreens and purples much more prevalent than before SU5. In trying to improve my situation I was looking at UserOpt.cfg and I noticed that the setting HDR10 was set to zero which makes sense for my system but before SU5 it was set to '1'. I tried changing it but it didnt help. My system includes an older non HDR10 monitor and I never thought the monitor would make much difference except to me and what I see. Some people seem unaware that if you can capture it in a screenshot then it can't be your monitor. At least thats what I used to think. So now the question: Does MSFS use different color sets (colorspace?) dependent upon whether your monitor is HDR10 capable? If Yes then it would be true that ones monitor could and would make a difference in the screenshots. Yes? Edited October 23, 20214 yr by sightseer | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. October 23, 20214 yr If your monitor is not an HRD one then you cannot turn on HDR in MSFS or any other game. You can go into your NCP under Res and at the bottom see if you have a option to turn on override and set 10 bit colour over the default 8bit. I have a HRD screen, I tried it and it was not a big deal. When using HRD you cannot take screenshots unless you have spiecal softwear. Edited October 23, 20214 yr by Nyxx David Murden.
