November 6, 20214 yr FSUIPC 6.1.6 LINDA 3.2.6 .1111 P3D 5.2.22.27615 I have also reported this problem in the FSUIPC forum, but I am not sure if it is correct there, so I describe it again here. I updatet to FSUIPCv6.1.6 again and started P3D. After a short time, the sound indicating an error is heard twice. At the first sound, the LEDs on the buttons of the MCP light up.As far as I could observe, LINDA also starts and the functions of the MCP are available and the message LINDA restartin.... also appears. and LiINDA is ready. The LINDA GUI, which is normally visible when LINDA is started, is not visible and cannot be called or displayed. When I call up the Sysinternals/Process Explorer programme, LINDA is not listed as a process. When shutting down P3D, the LEDs on the heads of the MCP also light up briefly and the MCP is restored to its initial state. When FSUIPC 6.1.5 was installed and the LINDA GUI was still available I switched on the Fault Diagnosis Mode and set it to Verbose. Normally, a file linda2.log is then created. Unfortunately, no linda2.log file is created during the process described above. When P3D is running and I start LINDA manually again, LINDA is displayed as a process in the Process Explorer and a log is also generated. However, I think this log is useless as it does not record the problems when booting FSUIPC.I have nevertheless sent both log files to the given mail address. I hope the information helps Best regards Stefan Liebe Edited November 6, 20214 yr by Stefan01 regards Stefan Liebe
November 6, 20214 yr Hi Stefan I can not see anything obviously wrong with the logs you emailed me. If LINDA LUA is installed it will run when FSUIPC6 starts and give the results you are seeing. The GUI is started separately. As this is a new install have you set up LINDA to start with the Sim? Check fsuipc6.ini [programs] block for LINDA.exe. If not set, go to Setup LINDA and ensure Start GUI with Sim ticked. This will ensure GUI appears. November 6, 20214 yr Author Hi Andrew, Thanks for the quick reply. In the FSUIPC.ini LINDA is started with the line [Programs] RunIf1=CLOSE,C:\Users\XXX\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\FSUIPC6\LINDA.exe started. This was the case with FSUIPC6.1.5 and is unchanged with 6.1.6. Only the GUI does not seem to start after the start command but does not appear. The error does not occur with FSUIPC 6.1.5. regards Stefan regards Stefan Liebe
November 6, 20214 yr Check that LINDA. Exe is correctly located as per the start up line Andrew Gransden Scotland, UK LINDA Support/Developer - VATSIM and BAVirtual - Airbus Flyer i7 1TB SSD GTX980 - FSX/P3D - Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 - FS2Crew
November 6, 20214 yr Author Yes, it is. As already explained, when I start with FSUIPC 6.1.5 everything works as usual. When I start with FSUIPC 6.1.6 and leave everything else unchanged, the error described above occurs. I also changed the command as follows: RunIf1=CLOSE,C:... to RunIf1=READY,CLOSE,C:........ then exactly the same happens after P3d is completely started. November 7, 20214 yr @stefan01 I was testing with an old version of FSUIPC6 (6.0.8) and had no issues with starting LINDA.EXE automatically. I have installed 6.1.6 and my system no longer works correctly (LINDA does not start). I have confirmed your report on the FSUIPC support forum and await a response. December 8, 20214 yr I am also having this issue. There have been a couple of posts on the FSUIPC forum as well. December 9, 20214 yr As a follow up to the Linda GUI not starting with the latest FSUIPC, and support from John Dowson, it appears it had to do with the path that contained the Linda.exe had a space in it. Once the path in the run command in fsuipc.ini was enclosed in quotes, the Linda GUI starts with no issues. Thought I would post this solution since the entry in the fsuipc.ini is added by Linda when the option is selected in setup, in case others have the same issue.
