November 7, 20214 yr Can anyone advise me about changing one or two of the default views in FSX SE. In particular I would like to change the ‘locked spot’ view (which I never use or need) to a view of a smallish part of the panel (some switches). I want to use the Hotkey (3) to assign a yoke button in FSUIPC so I can refer to the view quickly during flight. I have already used the hotkeys from 5 to 9 for other useful views. If I simply edit the cfg file will there be unexpected effects? If I do edit it will it be best to use a cockpit view or virtual cockpit (I’m never sure what the difference is!)? As the view would be meaningless except for the particular a/c (Carenado Caravan EX) where I want to use it I intend to use the parameter ‘cycle hidden’ in the definition. Any help will be much appreciated. I would normally leave well alone but I found an article which suggested that all ten hotkeys can be used – ‘Camera configuration in FSX’ by Gabor Hrasko (2015).
