November 7, 20214 yr Anyone else experience this? Cockpit FPS just randomly cuts in half, and doesn’t always come back. Normally I get around 45 or so fps, 85% GPU usage there about. When the bug occurs, both my gpu usage and FPS each cut in half, down to around 22 fps and 44% usage. Sporadically it will “snap out of it” and both figures will shoot back up to their normal operating ranges. Then at random, it will again cut in half, with no obvious indication as to why. Going outside into drone view, both FPS and GPU usage shoot back up to where they should be, and never drop. Also, using “cockpit freelook” keybind (which I have bound to my hold mouse right click), makes both GPU usage and fps immediately come back to life. Stop using cockpit freelook and go back to Track IR…FPS and GPU usage immediately cut in half again. Very strange. Very confused. Edited November 7, 20214 yr by FakeWayne
November 7, 20214 yr Hi , i have the same issue for months , after upgrade to Windows11 and not install the GeForce Experience , everything is OK now , i can't tell if the optimize function cause this R9-5950X // 32Gb@3600 // B550 Unify // 3090 TUF OC // 1TB 980Pro M.2 // Nuctua D15 // Seasonic PRIME TX-1000 // LG GP-850 1440P@180Hz // HOTAS WARTHOG&TFRP // Windows 11 Sorry for my pathetic English , thank you.😅
November 8, 20214 yr Author I’m now beginning to think it is either an issue directly related to the aircraft I was in…the Caranedo Seneca, or the controller profiles I have set up specifically for that aircraft. All other aircraft I tried to replicate the issue in yesterday…JF Arrow, Bonanza w/ mod, TBM w/ mod…I did not get the bug.
November 8, 20214 yr I was seen this mainly with the default C172 non G1000 version during night. If i adjust the render scaling up to 200% and then go back to 100%, it seems been solved temporarily about five or ten minutes. I have the Seneca and everything is OK on my side. Maybe the graphic panel things make trouble. Feel sorry can't help you a lot, hope you can figure it out soon. BTW i have few addons installed, apart from the aircrafts. November 8, 20214 yr Question to the OP: When your FPS number drops, does the smoothness drop too? If not, why worry about it? The FPS you see on the screen is not always accurate anyway. For me, all that matters is smoothness, and since SU5 and SU6 everything is silky smooth regardless of the FPS number.
