November 16, 20214 yr Can a XBOX controller simply be plugged into a PC and work in FS2020 or any other game in general? Thanks in advance!
November 16, 20214 yr I can only speak to FS2020, but the answer is a definite Yes. I've used an XBOX controller for many years, not only on FS2020, but also on P3D. Just plug the controller into any USB port and the sim will recognize the controller immediately. In fact, because the sim is also available on XBOX, the controller will already be configured with button pre-assignments. There's no requirement whatever to even set things up on a PC. You can change the default assignments of course. But I've never found a reason to do so. I personally find the XBOX controller to be the very best controller to use because it gives a natural feeling of flight, and the sim preconfigures the POV camera to work seamlessly and intuitively with the XBOX controller on a PC. Again, no set up required. I've owned far more expensive controllers in the past. But, to me, the XBOX controller is the controller of choice. And it does work out-of-the-box on a PC. No problem.
