I got a New XFX Video card 3900 XT. But My ASUS Not ok

Recommended Posts

I got a New Video card 3900 XT from XFX. But by ASUS mother board is not recognizing it.

B&H Had one for $1800 Bucks , I finally got it

I had 580 AMD card before, I took it out and put the 3900 XT but the MB Code says 40. Not the usual A0.

I put the Old card back in, It went back to A0 and it recognized my old card.

I get nothing... The power is on, The card lights up. RADEON in  bright colors an all...

Do I sent this card back to B&H,. They don't have anymore card. Do I stilll send back? I would like to try all options'

Anyone has any ideas? I saw what is code 40, They say turn off Power sleep or something.. I don't get it

Ah.. I have enough Power 1200W

Are the PCI express cables on seperate rails? I don't know what is. 🙂

But guess what, I returned the card to B&H. In removing the Card, I broke the thingi that holds the card firm attached to the mother board. Thank gawd the card itself if fine.

Now I have only one slot. The second slot. I am using this slot. I got ASROCK card from Amazon. It works great.

These cards are humongous.  The biggest card I have seen.
