November 20, 20214 yr Going "inside" of a cloud gives absolutely no sense of immersion now. At least before SU7 the lighting of the airplane "dimmed" as a shadow from the cloud would suddenly darken/shadow the skin of the aircraft as you go into the cloud - now the aircraft has the same sun glare on it as if outside of the cloud. Not only does this look comical - but it takes away any sense of being "inside a cloud" totally away. I am saddened at the major steps backward we go for small "improvements" that are attempted. Band aids are put on uncovering other wounds. Example is the METAR system - this feels tacked on and not working as it should. Weird looking clouds like little puffs a few hundred feet high, it really looks... bad. Like I could boot up FSX and get better looking clouds. Can't we just have an option to go with "original MSFS clouds" and NO METAR? Just an on-off switch? Edited November 20, 20214 yr by KERNEL32
November 20, 20214 yr This started several updates ago. Some complained that it was too dark under the clouds and that they couldnt see the cockpit so Asobo brightened it way up. I liked the way it was. moody. It was only the clear sky was too bright at the horizon - it still is. They need better cloud lighting. and coloring. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life.
