How to get HSI on F18?

Featured Replies

Is there a way to tune a VOR freq and get a CDI needle up on the left MFD?  I assume you could get a tacan or VOR needle on it.  I've noticed the UFCP has some sort of autopilot you can enable as well.

What buttons do I push?

Has anybody figured this out yet?

I loaded a simple flight plan for a flight from KLGB to Mira Mar MCAS and this procedure worked for me.

After takeoff engage A/P function on the UFCD, and then CPL WPT and BALT on the submenu. The plane should capture that altitude and fly to the first waypoint.

On the HSI set scale to SC/160, and cycle to the last waypoint. Hit CPL WPT one more time, and you will see the message in the center of the HSI.

That's a pre loaded flight plan.  I'm speaking of tuning an actual VOR and seeing a CDI needle.
