ATC locator distance

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Sorry if this topic has already been covered before, I have not found anything about it,

My question is, how far away is ATC from the rest of the IA aircrafts?

This distance can be modified somewhere? ... for example in the users?

I am currently testing AIG offline, with only a density of 15, which in my opinion is not a high density, and the ATC is driving me crazy, it talks every second, or a couple of seconds ...

Thanks for the help.

are you setting your density in MSFS2020 or in the AIG-TC?   As far as I am aware,  if you have AIG-tc set to 99%  and MSFS set to 15%  then ALL of the traffic is injected but only the MSFS figure is actually displayed as aircraft..  I know that it was overwhelming my ATC before I stamped on the ATC to stop all the unneeded chatter with the mod from flightsim.to...   so try setting your AIG-tc injection way down and leaving MSFS at around 50% and see if that improves things for you.

Thanks for the advice,

I have made the recommendations that you indicate and indeed the unnecessary talks are considerably reduced but even so, the ATC locates the aircrafts from far away, I do not know if 80 or 90 nm??

In P2A you have the option to reduce or increase this distance, how great would it be to have this slider configurable by the user, don't you think?  🙂

I think default ATC uses more or less realistic ATC coverage areas/frequencies so the area a particular ATC controller is operating in would vary greatly.  In more congested airspace the ATC sectors will generally be smaller but busier, in less congested airspace the sectors will be larger so certainly possible to hear communications with aircraft that are fairly distant.
