Xplane 11 GTN 650 setup help

Featured Replies

Hello, I am a new reality xp customer with a recently purchased GTN 650 touch for xplane 11. I installed the product and got it working in xplane however there doesn’t appear to be any database in it whatsoever. I loaded up the plane at my home airport and could not utilize the 650 at all as it would not find my airport or any airport.
im kind of new when it comes to xplane mods and still unsure how these mods are supposed to work past drag/dropping into the xplane folder.
any help on getting the database working is greatly appreciated.
I do not own a garmin subscription and don’t intend to get one but I heard some sort of database should be included but I can’t seem to figure out how to get it loaded into the gtn650.
thank you

Hi,

During the RXP GTN installation, the software downloads and install the Garmin trainer launcher, which installs both the launcher and the databases. Is there a chance you did manually change the database installation folder from the default?

I have a Van's RV-7A with G3X non touch displays and GTN 650.  My panel is licensed for all Garmin IFR databases.  Can I use my Garmin database downloads with my X-Plane 11 Sim and your GTN 650 add on?  Is this a question for Garmin?
