Hello Niko,

 

just installed the PSXseecon for MSFS and Real Traffic according you quick setup.

My first attemt wasnt so great, get no traffic etc- I assume I do several things wrong (again!)- can you help? I have a few desktop dumps I can provide- but how (URL?)

Your PSXT looks good, the problem is RealTraffic, it does not send traffic...

Did you select PSXT for Simulator in use?

Otherwise try FAQ #10

Thanks !-it works now nicely- now only struggling with the AIRAC issue in Real Traffic. ( I have 2112 but RT claim 1805...)

Ive downloaded and installed two airports from your list of Parked updates- but why is it searching in the Stock airport...as I have Tampa for EKCH for instance installed?

I have 2112 in RT, no problem...

Did you install these airports in the \parked_updates folder?  

Note that PSXT always  searches in parked_updates fitrst, then in addon_airports and then in stock_airtports if it needs an airport file.

Don't know what you mean by "searching in the Stock airport". PSXT will only once search for your stock airports and create about 12000 airport files with parking positions. If all goes well it will never do that again. However, if that fails it will try again  at each next start;then you have to make adjustment to the parameters.

I have two (2) airports in the parked_updates folder: EKCH and EDDF from your homepage for MSFS. I guess thats it? AS I said it works fine now, I was just confused that it searched for Stock (dfeault) airports when I have several updated airports for instance in the MSFS Community folder.

Now to the IVAO-CSL folders which contain several aircrafts models and liveries- however a aircraft like ATR 72-600 is missing so I will today search for an update or for a manual update of the folders as I have the aircraft installed in a few liveries but they do not occur as bodied aircrafts at all- I only see the navlights...as Real Traffic aircraft.

The stock airports folder is a "fall back"  folder for the case that there is no add-on airport found. This is a way to give priority to an add-on airport over a stock airport.

Hi Nico,

I have good experience of the new Real Traffic for MSFS.

However after installing your xml for EKCH planes still park strange and also on spots where default aircraft (from scenery and not possible to delete) so they end up on eachother...can I edit the xml in some way?

Also my domestic airport I have tried to edit- we have only two companies ( SAS and BRA) here and they park according to my xml- could you check Ive done it correctly? What does 9h mean and True-False?

You can delete the parking position in the airport file, then you will not see PSXT static aircrfat on top of scenery aircraft. However, you cannot prevent a live aircraft from parking there.

hours="9" means that the aircraft parkes there around 9 hour (utc).

real="true" means that a live aircraft really parked there. 

real="false" means that the aircraft visited the airport but the parking position was randomly chosen (because it disappeared before it reached a gate).

If you create an airport file by hand, you should write real=true is you are certain that such an aircraft parks there, otherwise you use false.
