December 6, 20214 yr Hi Dave and all, I have maybe found a bug or I am doing something completely wrong. Right now I am flying in Asia (China), but I have experienced the same in the US. My folder for the ATC Chatter is /Sounds/ATC Chatter/Countries/ and in here I have US for USA subfolder and Z for China subfolder, where under here I have App. Clr, Ctr, Dep, etc. But when I actually fly in China (Around Chengdu), P2A expects the following folder structure GetATIS 11:35:09 ControllerFreqChanged: 126.45. CtlrShrtName: ZUUU ATIS CtlrType: ATIS11:35:09 No controller assigned 11:35:11 Gnd ChatterFolder: C:\Pilot2ATC_2020_x64\Sounds\ATC_Chatter\Countries\Gnd ControllerFreqChanged: 121.7. CtlrShrtName: ZUUU Gnd CtlrType: Ground11:35:11 New Com1 Stby Freq: 126.45 Com1StandbyFreqChanged: 126.45. CtlrShrtName: ZUUU ATIS CtlrType: ATIS11:35:12 New Com1 Stby Freq: 126.45 Com1StandbyFreqChanged: 126.45. CtlrShrtName: ZUUU ATIS CtlrType: ATIS11:35:12 I have set the Countries option in P2A settings and it also works in Europe. What have I done wrong here? Sincerely, Michael Hansen
December 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member The Country Folders structure is looking for folders with the first 2 letters of the ICAO code of airports in the country. So, for example, UK is EG, France is LF, etc. China is so big, there may be more than one "country code" for the entire country. Dave
December 6, 20214 yr Author I can understand that, but I have the same issue with the US folder, which is named just that. US. Flying from O'Hare towards Kastrup, I didn't get a single chatter (again because P2A log suggested it looked in the Countries root folder, instead of Countries/US), whereas I got chatter flying over Canada, which ironically enough, is just C. Can you maybe take a look into it? Cheers, Michael
December 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member US is correct. I would check your controller folders and be sure you have all the controller folders in the US folder, including a Ctr folder. Dave
December 6, 20214 yr Author I may have found the culprit. I forgot that I added the K1-K6 subfolders (with nothing in them) and that may have thrown P2A off. That still doesn't explain China, though. As far as I can see, Z is the country folder for main China. I have also installed the public beta and is very excited to test it out. Cheers, Michael
December 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member ZM is Mongolia. I will update P2A to clump all the various China Country Codes "ZB, ZG, ZH, ZJ, ZK, ZL, ZM, ZP, ZS, ZU, ZW, ZY" to a single Letter Folder of 'Z'. Dave
