Hi,A long time ago I flew on a Malaysian A330 between Karachi and Dehli... the plane was Brand New.. within days of entering service.. smelt like a new car does....But... yes it was suprisingly noisy... not engines... but bangs and clunks....Still, it got me there....Paul
