December 16, 20214 yr I know that LOD stands for Level of Detail. But does LOD also include Distance of Detail? In other words, does LOD extend the draw distance, as well as the detail, of the scenery? And while I'm at this... Do higher settings for Buildings and Trees extend the draw distance, as well as the visual fidelity of these objects? On my own system, the main effect I see when I increase LOD is that everything looks sharper. December 16, 20214 yr I think they're tied right now. I've heard rumors that they're going to have separate LoD sliders for Trees, Houses, and Terrain. That would be great if they implement something like that. As far as extending draw distance for Low - Ultra, I think to an extent, but it's more about object density and fidelity. For instance, with houses on ultra, you'll see things like satellite dishes on houses, tires, barrels, etc. On Low, you get a base model of a house, but no extras like that.
