>Guys,>>can someone when the lights (beacon, land etc.) are switched>on/off?>>RegardsHopefully this reply will be of more help to you ;-)Our company policy for lights is:*Nav Lights ON when aircraft is powered.*Beacon ON when engines running or aircraft is being towed.*Strobes ON when entering an active runway and for the duration of the flight and OFF when exiting the active runway.*Landing lights ON when cleared for takeoff and OFF when climbing through 10,000' Then ON when descending through 10,000'and OFF when clearing runway.*Logo Lights ON below 10,000' at night.*Wing Inspection lights As RequiredThese procedures might have minor variations between operators but from what I've seen most operators use these.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.sstsim.com/images/team/JR.jpg

Well... our chief pilot Dodiano could explain in more detail than a copy of some checklist items ;-)since he pilots the real thing. Maybe you can even catch him on Teamspeak.Enjoy!

>Well... our chief pilot Dodiano could explain in more detail>than a copy of some checklist items ;-)>since he pilots the real thing. >>Maybe you can even catch him on Teamspeak.>Enjoy! Those aren't just check list items. They are our Company procedures as derived and approved by Transport Canada and just an example of what's out there. Why don't you help out here and post your company procedures. I could also post the T.C. and FAA regs that apply to our procedures but as they are pretty much what all Commercial operators in North America use so that's a bit much for this forum. I would hazard a guess that the CAA, JAA etc. have similar regulations.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.sstsim.com/images/team/JR.jpg

our company has gotten cheap and we now only run the nav lights and strobes during the time from sunset to sunrise. saving money on those bulbs all so people can still fly cheaply.
