January 12, 20224 yr I am a host at an Aviation Heritage Centre and we have 4 Simulators that were donated to us by Australian Navy for use by our visitors. They were not working properly at the time. I have since got one up and running perfectly and have created Administrator and Guest Accounts. It's running MS FSX via Win 7 Pro. Since I can't get win 7 codes anywhere, I created a clone of the system and installed the clone onto the other 3 machines, FSX works perfectly in the Administrator Account on all 3 but when in the Guest Account I get "We are sorry, an unexpected error occurred which is preventing product activation from being completed. Error Code 1-80004005". The original machine works in both accounts with no errors, the other 3 work in admin account but have the error in the Guest account. I've gone into the Registry and the "PartMgr" is there but if I delete that, I get the Activation Wizard. As all these machines were built eons ago by whoever, no activation codes are available. I rang Microsoft and they were as much help as a pocket in a singlet. Any ideas why the error only appears when in Guest mode? If yes how to stop it from popping up? Regards Peter

Regards Peter No. But Peter for the price of breakfast you save yourself hours of grief and can purchase and download FSX Steam Edition from Steam and have that system up and running. I believe the current version is still Windows 7 compatible. Any FSX stuff you need from the others should just copy over, you just need to find the FSX SE location once installed. Steam tends to bury it a bit.
