May 9, 200719 yr Hi,First off I admit I havn't downloaded TP yet but from the screenshots and general chatter not only is the idea genius but it looks amazing! before I download/install it I want to make sure it doesnt overwrite the VFR Gen X scenery I have for the South of England. Is there anyway to install it for the rest of the world but not for that section? Thanks in advanceAlistair
May 9, 200719 yr As far as I know all Tileproxy is stored in the world folder. To disable you just go to the scenery manager and "uncheck" any of the world folders. I think from one of the posts here there is a grid that would help you figure out which folder to uncheck.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
May 9, 200719 yr Hi Alistair,It is not strictly necessary, but the way to have TP running and ensure it doesn't interfere with the UK is to disable the areas World_0501 and World_0601. Note, these are not the base areas but those which are added by TP.IMG]http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/3303/tpareasrq1.jpg[/img]In fact I have both enabled and all 3 volumes of Gen-X active and I see Gen-X in England but TP downloads in Scotland.George
May 11, 200719 yr Is there a way to know what area each number refers to? You just told me which ones for 0501 and 0601 but how can I find what the others are? I would like to know the same for the default areas.Don
May 11, 200719 yr I think the chart in this thread allows you to figure out the numbers. http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=396073&page=2http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
May 11, 200719 yr Okay I see your map you refer to but how do I read it? For instance 0105 that they refer to. How do I get that? Probably simple.Don
May 11, 200719 yr first the horizontal axis, then the vertical.Read the number on top of the map first, then the number to the left such that when you intersect a horizontal and a vertical line from these numbers, it intersects right on the square you're interested in.Unfortunately these squares are rather huge. With this way it is hardly possible to disable coverage for individual countries only. The smaller squares (4x4 within each of the big squares) are the individual BGL files that get installed inside the TileProxy World folders. These can also be removed on a case-by-case basis when required.
May 11, 200719 yr Thank you When I look in the library I find tile proxy to d/l. Is it correct to say that this is a program now and NOT a beta anymore?
May 11, 200719 yr Still Beta and it will remain so at least throughout May.I will keep adding features and since I plan to release early and often i will probably not have a final version of it so soon.
