January 19, 20224 yr Has anybody with the Z690 Hero found the BIOS speaker header? Or have Asus decided to dispense with it now? We have the Q-Codes of course, so no big deal, but I do tend to add a speaker in my builds usually.
January 19, 20224 yr I assume that's the ROG Maximus Hero (the only Z690 Hero) I saw on the Asus site? A quick look at the manual shows no speaker header so it does look like they've dispensed with it. I miss having a speaker - certainly easier than peering round the side of the case (and worse if it's under a desk!), but at least my new TUF Gaming Z690 has the header if I wanted to use it. Strange they don't have a common policy on the new generation of mobos. I couldn't see anything in then manual either, or on the board. A bit redundant now anyway as the board is going back. It has a significant degree of warping. Given the price of the boards these day they can have that one back. 🙄
