P3D V5.3 HF1+Fix : Terrain.dll CTD

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Yesterday I had a crash with terrain.dll for the first time.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything with a google search.

As far as I could read, it may be due to Scenery.

I had a flight from LTFM to OTHH yesterday.

Shortly after Baghdad in Cruise Level I had the crash with terrain.dll

Normally I don't have any scenery far and wide..

The next Scenery would have been LTAI or OTHH and OMDB.

otherwise I have from ORBX Global Base package.

Do you have any tips for me what to do...

thx

Terrain.dll may happen for many reasons. It may then not repeat for a long time and is usually hard to figure out (at least in my experience).
By the way, there is HF2 freshly released, so you may use this occasion to update or even reinstall the sim if you wish so. Nothing to lose - a lot of bugs removed and performance is said to be stellar.

For me that CTD is normally too high settings with a too high overclock CPU and or Memory overclock , tweak it down a bit
