May 14, 200719 yr Hi All,Recently came across a program called 'FSX Flight Check' which seems to be a free beta download of a program that works in a similar manner to FS Passengers, but is designed for FSX.I downloaded and installed it, and it seems to run ok. It has a number of features which includes a rather annoying vocal call out every minute or so when flying, but it does seem to take in to account proper flying techniques, and basic pre-flight checks as well. It also checks to see how your passengers are in relation to their comfort level/fear level, which directly reflects on your flying ability. After your flight you are given an overall rating, which is dependent on how professional your skill level is set at, and how successfull your flight was.Im curious to know is anyone else out there using this program and what are their thoughts on it?? May 15, 200719 yr Hi Dirk,The framerates in a test flight out of London Heathrow were varying from 4.5 frames per sec to about 9fps shortly after take off. However the FPS were similar without Flight Check running.Slight improvement by flying out of Stanstead or Dublin. Overall, no major difference in FSX FPS using Flight Check, but the loading times were longer when Flight check was running in the background.I hope to try both RCV4 and Flight Check running together later on...Looking forward to SP1 to improve those rates!Cheers,Fisky1,Galway,Ireland.
May 15, 200719 yr Author Thanks, Fisky1. While we are at it, why do you think it would be interesting to combine the both? Does FlightCheck add responsibility to your flying or what else, what's the kick of it?
