February 4, 20224 yr I just tried using the software in 5.2 and the distance offset button in pilot mode doesn’t seem to be working. Is this a known bug? i tried using it the same way I used it in v4 (it always worked fine in v4). Note that altitude offset still works perfectly fine.

February 4, 20224 yr Commercial Member Can you please check if you can see the AI that you are following in Pilot Mode? I know that there was a change at some point, where it became possible to make the other AI invisible in P3D, and that is what AITX does. And the distance control has indeed been disabled (I just checked the code) - because it was deemed obsolete to offset yourself from the AI (except for the height, so you don't get in it's way on the ground). It is still there for the other sims though. Besides, you have no way of telling your actual offset from the AI when you cannot see it - right? But I could bring back the control, no problem. If you want, send an email with your proof of purchase to the address on the last page of the manual. I have a slightly more advanced version than the 3.01 that you can try. February 5, 20224 yr Author Ah, I see then. Yes, I cannot see the AI I am following in Pilot Mode. I had noticed that and wondered why. It has admittedly been a while since I used this software, so that explains it. As for the height vs distance thing, I was already using invisible models to follow before, and I actually find myself using distance offset instead of height to avoid the invisible AI aircraft getting "stuck" behind me. If I set it to something small like -10 the AI just keeps taxiing fine and I don't need a height offset. If I use a height offset, my own aircraft has floating landing gear, so I would much rather have the distance offset come back if possible 🙂 I have sent an email to the email from the manual, looking forward to your response. Thanks!
