Move PC bought content to Xbox?

Featured Replies

I’ve just bought an Xbox, so that I can take it with me when I travel away to work. That way I can still get my flight fix. However, after installing everything today, I realised that some of my PC purchases, such as the JustFlight Piper Arrow, were bought outside of the Marketplace. Is there anyway I can inject them into the Xbox version?

Short Answer - No.

Only content that has been bought on the Marketplace can be used on the XB, and I haven't heard anything about anyone offering a deal to move content bought elsewhere onto the marketplace.

Ah, that’s pretty much what I feared. Thanks anyhow 🙂

The in-sim marketplace is connected to your Microsoft/Xbox account, so it can seamlessly follow you to console and vice-versa.  Externally bought stuff doesn't have those same kinds of entitlement hooks unfortunately.

Not sure how you'd solve that aside from maybe letting people enter generated codes to "register" externally bought stuff with the sim somehow.

Yeah, it’s a shame that the larger, third party providers don’t have some kind of arrangement for the registering of purchased products. I guess MS aren’t too fussed if they don’t see any immediate financial benefit.

It's a pretty novel situation compared to pretty much any other game they publish, due to the massive ecosystem of add-on payware flight sims have that simply don't exist for normal games.

But yes, they also wouldn't have any real motivation to try and solve this lol.  And in fairness to them, this is a standard expectation when you buy third-party mods and they haven't promised otherwise.
