May 16, 200719 yr The whole texture lookup goose chase is fixed as well !! Just checked it with filmon. :DI see Phil even took the time to post a list of all the fixes on his blog ! Yet another request from the community fullfilled. My hats off to Phil and the team, the interaction with FS community has been exemplary, (perilous at times no doubt) and their commitment and dedication has been clearly shown. The proof is in the fixes and my new found performance, and on both cores I might add :DGaretthttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171692.jpg
May 16, 200719 yr Author Wow, the texture goose chase was fixed? I thought they said they weren't going to worry about that. ?I always did think that anytime the sys is looking for a file, it's using a tiny slice of cpu time. Taken by itself, that's not much. But multiply that by 100 over each render pass and that's a lot of cpu time thrown out the window. At least that's how I've always looked at it.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
