February 26, 20224 yr There have been a few threads about stutters / fps drop in long flights, and I posted at a couple reporting that my longest flights always ended flawlessly in as far as FPS or stutters go, but !... In the last flights, all in the FBW A320 NEO - Experimental version, while the FPS stay put at 30 FPS ( as set in my in-game graphics options ) I started noticing the PFD and ND refreshing in a "stuttery way". I enabled "Dev Mode" and checked / re-checked the ratings and all were good, but those displays were really slow and jumpy. I am running MFS in Full Screen, and alternating to desktop and oppening a browser ( Firefox in my case ), restores the display smoothness on both the PF and the ND when I return to MFS. I recalled that in one of the threads I mentioned above someone used this trick - oppening a browser out of MFS before returning to the sim. Not sure if a FBW or an MFS quirk, but I will try it with other aircraft, the default 350i will be my next test. February 26, 20224 yr Good day I had this problem two days ago, during 2 minutes, when descending above Corsica. I thought the scenery was the problem, but due to your post i know now it s not that. Yesterday, flown 5 hours with it no stutters but at total freeze of the cockpit buttons After use efb during my descent. Frédéric Giraud
February 26, 20224 yr Author Thx Frédéric, I don't even have any add-on scenery / mesh add-ons, only default MFS with no enhanced areas ( waiting for the Iberian Peninsula World Update ). I did experience not a button freeze but rather the mouse cursor disappearing in some occasions. Again, alternating betweemn MFS and desktop or using ESC to get into the game interface and then returning to the "flight scene" restores the mouse cursor and interaction with the cockpit. Last time I experienced this freeze was on arrival to an airfield in Alaska, surrounded just by ice / snow and one or two villages, so, not even dense scenery, while on other occasions during approaches to dense city areas I do not experience such "Glass Cockpit Stutters".
